Responsibilities: 

In this crucial role, you will: 

• Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments
• Organize and maintain the warehouse, ensuring materials are easily accessible
• Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and periodic audits
• Prepare materials for jobs, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Collaborate with the team to fulfill requests for parts and equipment
• Pick up and deliver parts as needed for our service team
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently

Qualifications: 

To excel in this role, you should have: 

• Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics role (experience in a similar industry is a plus)
• Clean Driving Record: A valid driver's license with a clean record
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, sometimes in confined spaces
• Proficiency in using warehouse management software or similar systems
• A commitment to safety and following warehouse protocols

Who/What Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a warehouse assistant/driver based out of our Rockville, MD office. This individual will work with the warehouse supervisor to ensure that technicians have the materials needed to be able to perform installs and service work each day. Shipping and receiving, using a forklift to move pallets, organizing material, making pickups and deliveries, and maintaining a safe and clean environment in our warehouse are the main functions of this position. This job will require some heavy lifting when loading and unloading vehicles. Typically, the vehicle driven will be a box truck or a pickup truck. This position does offer the potential opportunity for advancement potentially into one of our trade fields if so desired.

Qualifications:

• A clean driving record
• High school diploma (or GED)
• Meet all attendance and dependability requirements
• Team player
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Forklift certification a plus

Training:

• F.H. Furr will provide all of the training required for this position

Office Hours:

• Monday - Friday 7AM - 5PM
