Position Overview

FH Furr is seeking a Permit Coordinator to join our team in our Manassas, VA office. This role is responsible for managing permits, coordinating inspections, and serving as a key liaison between municipalities, inspectors, and internal teams across multiple branches.

The ideal candidate will have experience with permitting, construction, home services, or a related field and thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires strong organization, communication, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply for all required permits across multiple FH Furr branches
• Schedule and coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions
• Serve as a liaison between inspectors, municipalities, and internal teams
• Track permit status and maintain organized, accurate documentation
• Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and permitting requirements
• Communicate timelines, updates, and any issues to internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• Experience in permitting, construction, home services, trades, or a related industry preferred
• Familiarity with permitting processes, codes, and inspections
• Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build effective relationships with inspectors, municipalities, and internal teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and permit-tracking systems preferred
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset
